Laboratory diagnostics play an important role in general health screening and can help provide answers on the way to recovery, as the vast majority of medical decisions are based on this information. Tests are used to confirm or rule out a condition and/or disease.

We are waiting for our patients in our sampling sites at 78 József Attila Avenue H-6723 Szeged and 6-10 Jobb fasor H-6726 Szeged every weekday between 7 am – 1 pm in the morning.

Whether you should come on an empty stomach depends on the type of test. For example, you do not need to restrict food intake for an allergy test, for example, but you do for a blood test. Prior to blood sampling, it is recommended to avoid eating any food, including fruit juices. It is recommended to drink clean water. Do not drink alcohol prior to blood sampling as well as avoid excessive physical exertion.

Please bring your ID and passport with you! It is advised to prepare some carbohydrate and water for after the blood sampling.

It is important to note that in the case of children under 18 years of age, sampling can only be carried out in the presence of the child’s legal guardian or with a completed informed parental consent form. Thus, under 18 years of age, a completed consent form is required or they must be accompanied by a parent!

In some cases, you may need to stop taking your medicine temporarily. If you are taking an anticoagulant, make sure you tell our colleagues.

The required amount of blood is drawn quickly and with minimal discomfort by finding the right vein. The procedure can be completed in under 5 minutes.

It is recommended to rest for a few minutes. If you feel weak, you should rest several times that day.

PCR sampling and testing to detect infection is not provided in the laboratory.
Detection of COVID-19 antibodies is carried out after venous blood sampling from the drawn blood.
Please bring your ID and passport with you to the sampling.
Results will be reported within 24 hours.
